DAY 1 Kathmandu – Lhasa

Fly to Gongar airport in Lhasa (3,650m) and transfer to hotel. Weather permitting, the flight offers spectacular views of Yarlung Tsangpo River, Lake Yamdrok, Mt Kanchenjunga (8,586m), Mt Makalu (8,463m) and, of course, Mt Everest (8,848m) After check-in hotel rest for acclimatization.

   

DAYS 2-3 In Lhasa

Sightseeing tour of the Potala palace, the Jokhang Temple and surrounding Barkhor Market, Drepung Monastery and Sera Monastery. Overnight in hotel.

DAY 4 Lhasa – Kathmandu

Transfer to the airport (2 hrs drive). The Kathmandu flight leaves at about 10.00 China Standard Time and arrives in Kathmandu at about 0900 local time. The flight takes about 1.10 hours. During the flight you will see the following.
